I opened an account at Standard bank as I would like to apply for a bond in a few months time. I explained that both my husband and my salaries will be paid into this account, and funds trf'd from there to our other bank acc's for debit orders still needing to be switched over.
Month 1 already we encountered a problem when my husband's salary was paid in. No immediate banking transfer facilities to other banks!!! This is a HUGE problem as it means I have to draw about R15000 cash, physically walk to the other two banks woman ALONE in order to have our debit orders go off at the other banks (Absa & Fnb). Seriously, if STD bank had the same facility as other banks, I would rather pay the R35-45 immediate trf fee than walk with cash from one bank to another, especially in today's day and age.
Please Standard Bank, get with it. Step up to your competitors. I can only look at your interior that hasn't upgraded since I was a child, to realize now that you are technologically behind.
