I acquired an IPAD through FNB offer and took out the insurance offered with the IPAd with FNB Insurance Brokers. Unfortunately i was the victim of a car jamming at the Waterford Shopping Centre on 02 August 2013 in which my work satchel which was hidden in my car containing, inter alia, my Ipad and ID book were. FNB Insurance Brokers has refused to honour the claim because there was no evidence of forced entry into the car (implication that i am lying)... I have a case number from the Douglasdale police station: 73/8/2013 and since the incident (which was not isolated) signs have been erected all over the centre to warn of car jamming. It is unacceptable that my claim was repudiated. I am so disappointed in FNB. I have been a loyal customer for a number of years. I have made a complaint - on approximately 27 August and have not had any feedback. I will never take out insurance with FNB Insurance Brokers again - because they will NOT cover you if you claim. If I had known they did not intend to honour claims I would have taken out alternative insurance.
