I just found out that Standard Bank (who I've been Banking with since high school) has just declined my Home loan. They also did so without even telling me I had to follow up with them.
Apparently my credit rating was fine but my partners was not. We figured this is crazy and might be or identity so we pulled a Trans Union report only to see that's everything is MORE than ok, it even reflects he closed his previous loans early and all is up to date.
This report also shows who's made inquiries on the credit record, it show the other banks like ABSA and FNB checking it out for a homeloan but did not show Standard Bank running a check.
So some lazy person at Standard Bank declined our home loan without even doing the check in the first place.
What is Standard Bank doing? Are you guys hiring people without a Matric that's so dumb? Owning a home is a huge milestone in a person's life, it's not something you treat with such little regard.
At this point I'm so disappointed in my bank I would move my Accounts to any other Bank who does our bond.
