FNB is better for home loans

I've been with Standard bank for decades now and I have various investments with Stanlib as well. I recently also upgraded to a prestige account.

I've recently found a home to buy and applied for a home loan from standard bank and imagine my surprise to find out that I've been outright declined. I use less than 50% of my disposable income so I _KNOW_ that I am not a credit risk.

How is it possible that FNB is able to give me a home loan and a decent interest rate but SB just declines me?

I am sorely disappointed by this and I feel ashamed that I've been a supporter of SB all this time.
