ON the 23 October 2011 my father died, we decided to take life cover on my mothers life, because my dad was not covered, We decided to see our local broker Petri Botes, for LIBERTY, during the inerview my mother was present . the life cover policy for R100 000.00 rand was accepted without any medical test of any kind, remember my mother was 72 years old at that stage, on the 1 ste of Desember 2011, the policy started and my premium was been paid for R257.92 . On the 13 December 2011 my mum died. The death claim was denied by LIBERTY, because we did not gave all the medical information during our interview with the broker, or that was there excussed. W e send this claim to the OMBUDSMAN and later to the FAIS OMBUD, both denied our claim, because off the same reason.
