Applied for a home loan with Nedbank - my bank for 8 years and the bank that granted our first home loan 7 years ago. We also submitted to all the other banks. Within a week and a half I had bond grants from the other 3 major banks. Nedbank declined and never told me. When I called them they said they would appeal but by the time they got back to me I had to accept another offer from another bank before the OTP expired. Nedbank came back to me the day I accepted the other bond to tell me that I was declined, again. Without too much detail, I make 4-5 times more now than I did 7 years ago and am permanently employed. My wife, while on contract, is still with the same company she was 7 years ago - when Nedbank gave us our first home loan. Unfortunately, Nedbank doesn't see individual people, just the bottom line.
