We applied for a relatively small home loan a few weeks ago (R 320 000 on a R 1 820 000 property). Received final approval from two other banks last week - Nedbank missing in action! Was eventually notified on Monday that Lizel was not in her office last week, a colleague was supposed to check her emails and that she would give the matter immediate attention. I have not heard from her again and will now accept another bank's offer. We have been Nedbank clients for 35 years. When we applied for a R100 000 loan 5 years ago, Nedbank pitched last with an outrageous interest rate and we accepted a loan from ABSA. This time Nedbank was not even interested in providing a quotation at all... can only laugh at the new radio ads about how easy it is to get a Nedbank home loan! At the same time my son-in-law applied for an additional loan and that application has been ignored as well. One of my daughters is in the process of moving her accounts to another bank because we are all sick and tired of Nedbank's poor service in all aspects.
