I have been a loyal customer and a regular payer of my credit card for around 10 years. I prefer to pay with a ATM transfer, because I usually pay more - much more, than the required minimum. Then I went for surgery in April and then again in May, and, due to ill health - I missed a payment. They could not be bothered to pick up a phone to ask why. They just went ahead and cut my credit rating by half! Never mind that I could not read the sms they sent, as I had had surgery to both eyes and was effectively blind for this period! I complained to the divisions call centre and spoke to Bongani, who promised to log a complaint - this was over a month ago, and I still await feedback from this call. I went onto ABSA's website and complained about 10 days ago - no feedback. I would be surprised if I get feedback from them in response to HELLOPETER. THEIR SERVICE! Hello, FNB. Here I come!
