Nedbank's attitude towards personal information

We are not Nedbank clients - NOW I KNOW EXACTLY WHY.We are in the process of applying for a home loan, receive an email if we bank at these 2 (names unmentioned) financial institutions we should complete this form to obtain account statement electronically. Week later we receive that exact form, completed with all of my husband's information, from ID to all the banking details. Receive a phone call this morning, because she received an email back stating that "Chris" (same name and surname) did not apply for a home loan and she wants to confirm is this is the same person. Obviously not, so confused, but did he also not give consent - yes he did not give consent, as my husband and I log into each other's email address'. She typed the email address wrong - I just wanted to clarify if this information gets misused in any way I will keep them liable. A "I am sorry" would have sufficed. Then she had the audacity to refer me to the email disclaimer - now at the end of the day it is not an indemnity. If our home loan gets declined, so be it, because I don't want to deal with a bank who sends on such private and confidential information and then in a stuff you manner: "Refer to disclaimer". SHOCKING!!!
