On 26 July 2011 i had an amount of R35 530 350.56 deposited into my ABSA savings account.
Another deposit of R99 999 999.99 followed on 29 July 2011 leaving me with over 135 Million rand in my ABSA savings account no. 29350019. I phoned ABSA immediately to report these deposits as i did not know how to make sense of these large deposits and was worried of being implicated in or some type of crime. After reporting to the department i was called back by a gentleman from the ABSA forensics. Shortly after my phone call i found my savings account frozen. The days after saw money being transferred out of my account and interest being reversed with no correspondence between me and the bank.
Over the past months i have been requesting information from ABSA on how and why R135 million was deposited into my account which for the period it was in my account could have put me at risk. Ive been pushed from department to department with no answers. I feel that this unfair. Its nearly 2 years that have passed and i have no closure on this matter. Should any authorities contact me in the future regarding these large deposits i wont know what to tell them. HELP PLEASE!
