Bad Handling of my account

Hello Peter :)

I have been with Standard bank for around 20 years now and have always handled my accounts very well. recently for the first time i applied for bank finance for a vehicle I wanted to purchase and Standard bank was the only bank who refused to finance me. Reason - unsatisfactory handling of account. on investigation i found out that my account reflected a stop on a card. This was because i had a master card i did not use and decided to put a stop on it due to service fees. This was not a reflection of bad handling of my account and on seeing a consultant for a motivation he was very impressed on how my account was handled. Standard bank refuses to remove this 'stop Card' status on my account which means that every time I apply for finance this will show up as a negative reflection on me as a creditor with the status reading 'unsatisfactory handling of account' How can stopping a card that I did not plan on using reflect as an unsatifactory handling of my account.. Please help!! I am currently looking at changing banks but need this status removed in the event of future credit checks.
