First, let me say I am a faithful FNB Client, and their service has always been excellent... So I decided to get a cell phone contract with FNB. What a fiasco! FNB Cell phones, FNB Connect make Joburg City Council look good- at least sometimes their mistakes on in my favour Phone calls, e mails, on line applications, interventions by my Account Manager, nothing helped. I was even promised 2 (not 1, 2!) cell phones. And then you phone again, and get told "Sorry, we have nothing on our system for you. And the 'we'll get back to you in 24 hours" e mails are also a hoot. It's taken me 3 months to have it figured it out - all FNB employees who are sick, lame lazy and lacking a brain are sent to the FNB Connect Department, because firing them would be politically incorrect and lovely meat for a CCMA hearing.
