Hitting a brick wall

On the 18th July I paid a beneficiary account that was in fact closed a few days prior to my payment. When I realised this, I contacted FNB and the other bank in question (ABSA) - the latter bank were more helpful than FNB but unfortunately could not reverse my money.

Since 19 July I have phoned, emailed and personally went into Northgate FNB branch... and I am still out of pocket! My money is in a suspense account and I am extremely frustrated with the poor service and lack of in-house communication that I have experienced. Both customer care and the premier banker consultant are ineffective as I have been promised that my request will be followed up - well I am still waiting and have managed to spend more money on airtime than the R204 it is going to cost me to get MY money back into my account!

I did get a reference number (1-740872006) to say the account is invalid - well yes it is! It is closed and hence my money lying in a suspense account!
