I called Outsurance to get a quote on my Honda CBF1000F bike. The lady that helped me was very friendly and assisted me without any problems. However, their quote was over a R1000 p.m. and I'm currently paying R453 p.m. with my current insurance. I told the lady that I cannot accept the quote because it's more than double that I'm paying now. The bike is only valued at R90000 (retail new) so I do not know why they quoted me so high.
Anyway, I asked about the R400 I will get if they cannot beat my current vehicle insurance. She told me that the R400 only applies to car insurance. Now did they not say so when they advertised this deal.
I really hate it when Companies do false advertising. I know it's only R400 and I was really interested to move to Outsurance (even if the quote was R100 more than what I'm paying now) but they failed with the quote and false advertising.
Please can you make it clear to the Public when you start a marketing campaign that it clearly states what you will pay if you cannot beat the quote.
