I learnt through a Transunion report and contacted Standard bank and was informed by Standard bank that the account was handed over to DMC for collection however have never received any communication from either Standard Bank or DMC for the past five years. In legal terms this debt has prescribed according to the Prescriptions Act.
I contacted Standard Bank Legal/Recoveries and they refer me to DMC who promised to revert to me in 5 day as per SMS received on the 24/07 and to date no response from DMC.
I need this record to be removed from my credit record as they are still not giving me any feeback. Standard bank informed me that the account is inactive on their side and I should contact DMC but I am getting no joy from them.
