I took out two loans - one under Sanlam and one under Call Direct - both these are managed by DIRECT AXIS.
In June 2013 I tried to settle both accounts in full and requested settlement letters, which I received for both. The accounts were paid in full and proof thereof was sent to both. Now, August 2013 I am still struggling to get any form of closure of account letters from both - one says my account is in arrears, the other says they cannot see proof of payment of account, yet another says I should send proof of payment (AGAIN), after they have confirmed receipt of same. Taking out the loan was easy - trying to pay them back in FULL - no such luck. I am now going to drive to their offices and sit there until somebody with some clue is able to help me sort this out. It has taken more than a month and a half to sort this out - customer service - I think not!!!
