I accidentally overpaid my Direct Axis loan payment on the 26th January by R500.00 when doing an online transfer through FNB - the overpayment is reflected in my account on line. When I approached Direct Axis in January they advised that they would refund it if I faxed through proof of EFT, which I did and which they confirm receiving. I queried non payment yesterday and Direct Axis confirmed they would pay the refund today. Today they phoned and advised that they cannot pay my refund without a copy of my bank statement showing the payment. The payment is reflected in my statement from Direct Axis. When I asked if I could be transferred to a manager I was cut off. Direct Axis have shocking customer service and retaining funds not meant for them is.
