Our gardener was contacted by a telesales person from Real People and offered a Vodacom Cellphone contract. He was informed that the deal was for a top of the range Nokia Asha 201 and will be delivered to his work address. The deal as discussed was R135.00 top up for 24 months, no handset charge were agreed upon. The delivery was made in November 2012 but he only realised recently that the amount deducted from his bank account were R279.00 in stead of R135.00 as telephonically agreed upon. The handset charge of R144 per month over the 24 months amounts to R3456 that he will be paying for a phone that will cost him R679.00 if he buy that today. Surely this is not legal to overcharge this much. I have tried numerous times to contact the Real People contact center to try and sort this out, want a copy of the telephone conversation when the deal was done, but the only message I get is "your call can not go through please hang up and try again later" I have tried to call 0873538421 and 0861112889. Could someone please respond to this matter urgently.
