My experience with Standard Bank has been dreadfully fatiguing, from poor customer service, to call centre agents who lack the necessary knowledge of their own products and processes, to disappointing private bankers and private banking service (for which the name, status and fees, vastly contradicts the service delivered). I am a Standard Bank Private Banking client, however I don't see why that is a benefit any more. My experience with Standard Bank in the last year has been an expensive lesson and motivation to change banks.
