Unable to obtain correct information

Policy due to pay out. Each time a follow up is done on the progress of the payout, different stories, excuses and advice is given for non-payment to date. Question is, is this Old Mutals way of prolonging the payout? Would appreciate advice from a Senior/Knowledgeable staff member on what the actual problem is and what needs to be done to resolve the problem A.S.A.P. Have been battling to obtain the correct information since March 2013.
