PAYMENT OF SURPLUS PENSION

During September 2013 my dad was contacted by The Data Factory on behalf of Old Mutual with regard to his surplus pension fund requesting documents. All documents was sent through and he was given a call centre number at Old mutual to check on the progress. He asked me to follow up on the progress because he does not have access to a telephone & he also gave me a letter which I faxed through to the call centre granting me authorisation to follow up on the progress. I have been told that all the documentation has been received and we should receive payment between 5 to 10 working days. The problem is that each consultants that is answering is giving me a different answer in connection with the payout. A consultant that I had spoke to yesterday said that he cannot tell us how long it would take for payout and that it could take up to 6 months to receive payout. My dad is 76 years old and is now stressing over this. Please can you give you let me know when we can expect this payout.
PS: Your consultants have been very friendly & helpful but each of them are giving me answers, therefore I'd like an answer from a superior. Thank you for your assistance.
