I've always been a great FNB fan and think their eBucks in particular is fantastic, but that changed today.
I'd like to congratulate FNB for being so kind as to debit my account with R135 after a debit order of R470 was declined (there was only R140 in the account). Of course a telephone call might have been to much effort or even an email to make me aware, and perhaps give me a chance to imediately rectify the problem. R135 is really not too bad considering ABSA charged R10 for a bounced transaction the last time they did it... and even ABSA called me up to make me aware and give me a chance to transfer from GASP! another account at the same bank to avoid the fee. But no, FNB just quietly nails almost 30% of the amount bounced for the privilege.
Bad form guys, never thought ABSA would have something over you guys.
