I received a sms this morning reminding me to refund my account with R99.99 however this is not a transaction that I was aware of so I phoned ABSA general and spoke to a lady in an attempt to find out who wanted to deduct money from my account. She got very short and snippy with me telling me it's just a reminder not a deduction, I am fully aware of that, I wanted to know who WANTED to deduct money from my account. This female just didnt seem to understand and got really short and aggressive with me I eventually had to put the phone down and try phoning someone else. The second lady gave me the details of both the debit order company and the company who got my money. Long story short it was an unauthorized debit order. When I went into ABSA to put a stop on it and reverse charges I discover that due to ABSA lack of caring I am the one who will pay bank cost to get money back that shouldn't have been deducted. And to add to all this my loan date STILL has not been changed to the 1st. Despite that I have had an account with ABSA since I was a Teen I will now be moving bank. I banked with ABSA so they could look after my money not give it out to anyone who says they want my money.
