Absa
Very disappointed with Absa - discriminating

Applied for a personal loan. Everything was given as requested and next they tell me the loan has been declined as my bank account is not mine???
As explained and as per letter sent from my financial institution - it is also my bank account -it is a JOINT account that my fiance and i share and use together. Like any married couple, we do this as we own a house together (joint bond), have children together and our expenses are shared together. Surely you don't decline married couples because they have a joint bank account - which is common practice when two people have expenses together and own a house together? So why do you decline my application when it is the same situation?
I am very disappointed in Absa's discriminating approach. My JOINT bank account is no less than any other persons account or any other married couples joint account!
Please would someone look at this, as the decline decision "not having own bank account", is not technically correct and discriminating just because my partner and i are not technically married, but married as "common law".
