On Monday 22 of July I contacted African Bank to apply for a personal loan, I was told that I qualify for a consolidation of my current loan and then receive an extra R17000 on top of that. I received an sms daily for the next 4 days stating I must remember to go to my closest branch and sign the offer. On Saturday I went to the branch in Heidelberg to be told that I do not qualify for anything i must phone head office, I phoned head office and was told that no they made a mistake at the Branch in Heidelberg i must re apply the following Friday I then called them on Monday 29 July 2013, to be told once again that thanks to the mistakes made on my application by their branch i must now wait 6 months before i can apply again. Surely in todays difficult times where you are trying to just work out financial stresses by taking out personal loans this is not the type of service that you want to deal with
