Be warned: FNB's only asset is a one-time great advertising campaign.
Following my disastrous attempt to become their customer at the start of 2013, I've just discovered (during a routine credit health check) that the FNB credit card I cancelled is still showing up on my ITC record as an active and current credit facility. What makes this salt in the wound, is that FNB approved my application for the card and then took more than 8 weeks to fail to finish processing their approval. I cancelled the card before receiving it. Aside from the inconvenience and irritation of having to follow up and cajole them into removing the offending item from my credit record, I'm struck by what a great opportunity such unclaimed but live credit facilities are for criminals to commit. FNB, please PLEASE help yourselves before you offer to help any of us.
