Following a home break in on Wednesday 24 July, I went in to my branch to get new cards on Thursday 25th July.
- Bavuyile instructed me to get an affidavit (stating that the cards had been) despite the fact that I was able to give him a case number. The call center had cancelled my cards without question. I was not without cash of any kind.
- I returned to the bank on Monday 29th July with affidavit but Bavuyile was now not happy with said affidavit because it did not state that my ID had been & I was now presenting a temporary ID document.
- The request for a new debit card was completed. He then informed me that I would need to bring proof of residence with me when collecting the card - something I am unable to provide but which has been sorted out with a home visit from an employee of the bank.
I realize that on all counts he was doing his job but his efficacious attitude made me feel like criminal and not a valued customer. I have a current account, credit card and home loan with this branch & expect some recognition as a customer of just one branch of FNB.
