Envelope deposit system

On Monday, 29.07.2013 I deposited money into my account using the envelope deposit at Greenstone ATM. This was around 8 in the morning. Its over 24hrs now and I called general banking call centre to enquire about the transaction which hasn't been cleared and I am being told that it takes maximum 3 working days. Fair enough, can someone tell me how far they are with the process. Boitsimelo the agent couldn't tell me and Prudence the team leader also couldn't tell me. Now my question is, such a big bank has no system in place to inform customers of the envelope deposit process? I have been a standard bank customer for over 5 years and I have never been as disappointed in the service as I am right now. That amount needs to reflect in my account as soon as possible as I have bills to pay. This is a rediculous system and it was my first time using it and I will never use it again. It is useless. Why would I deposit money into my account only to access it in 3 working days? In 2013 standard bank is still using a 1995 system? Unbelievable! My account number is 20643705 and I am expecting someone at standardbank to call me back so this can be sorted out asap.
