Questionable loan applications (Reckless lending)

Good day...

Ever since using their lon products, haven't missed a payment, my bureau information is good and haven't had a problem with African bank until now. I went into a Ellerines store on Monday requesting a just an under R5 000 loan. I was told that the system reflects that I do not qualify for anything under R50 000. I then went on their website to complain. They have an email address for queries, [Email Removed] which doesn't work. One gets a automated responce to call the number 0860 333 004. I then called the number and spoke to Tshepo who told me that there was still an application on the system and he couldn't bypass it and that I had to go back to Ellerines store and speak to the African bank lady to cancel that application and call them again. I did that. I then called again and requested Tshepo again who. Seeing that the application was cancelled we proceeded with the new application. After answering a copule of questions, Tshepo then told me that I qualified for a credit card (R19K) and about 3 different loans (R40K). but no R5000 over 3 months. How is this possible? I mean I only need about R3 500 to R5 000 over 3 to 4 months. I do not want R5OK!
