UNATHORISED ACCESS TO FUNDS

On the 3rd of June 2013, I received an sms notification of a withdrawal of an amount of R900.00 from my bank account, this happened whilst I was at work and with my atm card. I went to ABSA Greenstone to log a complaint and after 3 weeks calling in and wanting to find out the progress of the investigation my claim was denied according to the customer service agent because the withdrawal was effected with my card and secret PIN, this happened in STD-Max Supermarket, Mbekweni Shopping Centre, Wellington. I was forwarded an email with an attachment dated 05/06/2013, clearly no efficiency was applied to my case.

First of all I live in Johannesburg. I logged the call immediately when I got the the sms so I dnt understand how my claim can be denied. I had my card with me I live in Johannesburg, I was at work at the time. The place that they are talking about is in another province so how could I be in both places at the same time.

The investigation was poorly and not thoroughly done. I am going to close my account cause clearly the security measures placed are not safe and money can just be withdrawn and nothing be done about it.
