On the 20th June I called the African bank loans department to inquire on the balance of my loan and I was told that the balance before the debit was R720.00 which would mean that after my debit of R642.00 the balance would then be - R78 - R120.00, I called in again today to find out what my balance is & I was told that the balance is - R370.00 but a memo debit or R641.72 has been placed on my account. The lady I was speaking to told me that the overdebitted amount will reversed back into my account once they are done finalising the account. What I fail to understand is that why are they charging me fees which I have never heard of & why was the debit not done for the balance I owe. I need a clear indication of all these charges or fees that come at the end when I have paid my account with no defaults.
