Can't draw funds from available balance

My husband has an Absa savings account. Around 2 months ago he had to get a new card, as his old card was tarnished. Since then we noticed money "disappearing" from the account unaccounted for. I know this for a fact as we use that account for debit orders etc. and keep track of the exact expenditure from that account. Last month the acc reflected a certain amount available, however R750 of that amount could not be drawn? I still don't know what happened to that R750. We then decided to not use that acc anymore and opened an account with another bank for our debit orders etc. We haven't changed the bank info for the debit orders as yet, therefore we ensured that enough funds would be available for 1 May's debit orders by placing funds in to the account. I actually paid an extra R600 odd on top of it, just in case there were variances as one of the debit order amounts differs every month. After the debit orders went off and bank fees subtracted, there should be a balance of R400-R500 left - there were no other withdrawals or payments made from this account. The available balance shows -R500, but we can't draw OUR money? Please rectify and make our money available asap!
