Standard Bank
Inappropirate transaction authorisation

November of last year I fell victim to the 1time liquidation event, ready to board my flight it was then announced that I would in actual fact not be departing. Luckily for me I had purchased my tickets using my credit card and was able to obtain a refund. Little did i know that what i perceived as lucky would haunt me to this very day. To date 1 time has credit my credit card at least 5 times to claim for flights I never boarded. And my "trusty" bank has authorised every single one of those transactions.

We are all aware of what transpired and it infuriates me that my bank would authorise these transactions knowing full well that the airline is liquidated. The most recent authorisation happened on the 15th of July 2013 and when I enquired why they would authorise such I was met with silence and half arsed apologies. In the meantime, my credit card is incurring interest charges through no fault of my own.

Is my bank not meant to protect my money??? Am I paying bank charges for people who fail to apply their minds??? it baffles me why they would keep authorising this transaction, inconveniencing me with the process involved in refunding me.
