In Jan 2010, I reversed my car into an under ground parking pillar and at the time I was unable to pay to excess of R2800, so I did not repair my car at that time.
Its 2.5 years later and I am now in a better financial position & would like to now repair the vehicle as I can afford the excess - in this day and age with a family to maintain, who's got almost R3000 lying around at the drop of a hat?
I was told today when I called the call centre, that it would not be possible for a whole host of reasons... Yes, I understand that 2.5 years have passed on. Please also note that I have never skipped a payment and have almost never claimed and have been your client for almost 5 years.
AT NO POINT WAS I TOLD THAT THERE WAS A SUNSET CLAUSE ON THE CLAIM OR THAT SHOULD I NOT REPAIR MY VEHICLE WITHIN A CERTAIN PERIOD THAT I COULD NEVER CLAIM AT A FUTURE DATE FOR THE REPAIR WHEN I COULD AFFORD IT.( I'VE CHECKED ALL MY EMAIL CORRESPONDENCE)
OUTSURANCE FAILED TO DISCLOSE THIS INFORMATION TO ME, SO THEREFORE I BELIEVE THAT OUTSURANCE SHOULD COVER THE CLAIM.
SHAME ON YOU FOR DISCRIMINATING AGAINST CLIENTS BASED ON AFFORDABILITY!
