I applied for a R11 000 loan by Nedbank in few months back and has been paying it up to date ever since, i than applied for a consuladation loan through Absa and got approved. I called the nedbank loan centre and asked for a settlement on the 21/06/2013 and went into the branch to settle my loan on the 26/06/2013 when i went into the branch i asked them to call the loan centre to make sure the amount is still the same and they confirmed that it is correct and i should deposit it and the account will be closed. Now last week on the 10/07/2013 they called and said that there is still R1570 outstanding, but i refuse to pay that because i asked before paying that they must make sure that is the right amount and they confirmed it is correct. Why should i now pay for a mistake they made on their side??? They were suppose to check that the balance is correct. Please help me with this.
