Good day. I had a loan with Wonga which was paid 2 months after me taking it. I understood that there will be interest. when they collected the payment from my bank account, they had collected with interest. a month later I get an sms saying that I owe them around R80.00 more. I asked for banking details to be sent to me and I will settle this amount. this was never done. A few weeks later I get a call from Blakes & Associates Mount Edgecombe saying that my Wonga account was handed over to them and I Owe R114.00. I subsequently made this payment to them. afraid that more interest will accrue, I had paid R130.00 leaving my account with a credit. I have requested a letter from them stating that this account has been settled in full and have had no joy after been put back and forth between Wonga and Blakes. neither of them seem to know who can issue me this letter. I am in the process of applying for a bond and have been rejected due to this account reflecting badly on my name. I don't know what more to do now. I did tell them that I needed that letter before the end of today latest.
