Credit card letters

In the last week you have sent me two letters telling me that my credit card balance is R98, 000 while my credit limit is only R73, 000.

The question is why did you let an extra R25k get approved when I didn't have sufficient limit? Surely this isn't my problem. It's your problem and someone at ABSA should get fired then. So don't write to me about your own mistake as I don't want to know.

Then more importantly your letter shows you know absolutely nothing about your customers. To me R98k is pocket change. Before your letter even arrived I found out my balance online and paid R70k into my account which I just had lying around.By 5 Feb I'm supposed to pay a lousy R13k of the R98k. However, as mentioned I've already paid R70k and before 5 Feb would have settled the balance and my balance will be zero.
I understand that most of your clients are poor and probably can't pay. However I am loaded and clearly different. Therefore please don't write to me like you do to your poor customers.

Sadly you really don't differentiate between customers. I have a rubbish gold credit card despite earning in excess of 7 figures. None of your merry men has once phoned to offer me private banking.
