I had vehicle finance from MFC, On 18 December 2012 this car was written off. In January 2013 my car payment debit not go through. In February 2013 my car payment did not go through. I had no idea that I was even being debited by MFC, It was my understanding that Insurance had taken care of it. It was only in February 2013 that I learned the payments were not made. I then contacted MFC (No one from MFC called me to say my payment was not made) to find out what was going on. It was only then that I was told that I must make payments until Insurance paid out. Too my surprise the insurance had not yet paid out. I then got hold of insurance and they only paid in March 2013. I am now being denied car finance because I didn't handle my account well in January 2013 and February 2013. I feel like I am being penalized for their inefficiencies. With my job and the place where I work a car is an absolute necessity. I am spending close to R175.00 a day that is R5250.00 per month to get to work and back. Is this really why I am denied finance?
