I can't really say I am surprised with the level of service from Standard Bank's home loan Department. I called the call center last month a requested my debit amount to be changed, come the 1st of the month and the incorrect amount was debited from my account, after several frustrating phone calls and escalations (seems all they can do is escalate, wouldn't be surprised if it has reached the man upstairs with all their escalations) to try and have it rectified and promises that I would be contacted within a day with feedback I eventually spoke to Carlo Lottering, apparently part of management. He wanted proof that the amount had been debited from my account and wanted me to provide him with a bank statement and a signed letter... can anyone else see the problem here? I now need to run around and get documents? because of Standard Banks incompetence? Carlo also promised to call me with feedback by close of business last week Wednesday, I've called and ask to speak to him an he is always conveniently in a meeting. I'm just glad that the only account I have with Standard bank is my home loan and all my other banking is done with a proper bank.
