I applied for a loan through African bank and after 2 weeks of stress and frustration finally got a call to say my loan was approved and to come and collect my card. When I got there I signed the contract and received the card. Money was deposited into my account and off I went feeling happy and stress free... However the very same day only a few hours later I get a call from HQ to tell me sorry there had been a mistake that my loan should never have been approved. When I asked for what reason... this is what they said all my paperwork was in order however the 1 payslip I gave them from the 3 they already received did NOT show tax been deducted. So for this reason they were cancelling my loan and taking the money back!!! I find this so unprofessional. When I told them that this was a mistake that I have proof I pay tax on my salary I was told sorry not acceptable. How can they make me go through and back for 2 weeks and on the eve of getting the money come back with such a lame excuse. Now I am more stressed and am unable to help pay for my fathers funeral. And I thought African Bank were there to help people not destroy their lives.
