I had a loan and credit card pre-approved by the call centre and then again by the branch.
Then I went into the branch to sign the documents and hand in the paperwork needed where my loan and credit card was once again approved. Contracts signed and everything.
I received my credit card and instore activation was done and was told someone will phone me to activate the final payment. I then received a call that they need the attorneys letter that state my administration was paid in full and then the payment will be made. Which was done. The following day I was told that even though my administration was paid in full in 2012, that they now all of a sudden can't approve my loan and credit card anymore. This whole process was going on for 2 days after which I made commitments with the promises and confirmations from African Bank with this loan. I am now pushed into financial strain as this was then cancelled. I lodge my complaints to the email addresses provided on their website but nothing happened. Why pre-approve everything at the call centre and in the branch, print and signed contracts was done, my credit card was given to me and signed for, and then " oh sorry" we can't
