LOST TITLE DEEDS

We sold our flat at the end of April, however it has been 2 months now & no communication received re cancellation & transfer of Bond except from our Attorneys & only since we enquire re updates, who have informed us re lost Title Deeds etc. It seems to be common practice for Banks to lose Title Deeds as this is the 3rd property that we have sold where the Bank concerned has lost the Deeds. How is this possible? Poor customer service & feedback, is there anyone that still cares about how they perform their job?
