On the 7th June I ordered some flowers to be sent as a birthday present and used some of my many Greenbacks points to pay for them. The Greenbacks site states "5 to 10 days" for delivery of flowers. Initially I did not know this and when the flowers had not been delivered after four days I phoned the Nedbank Greenbacks help line and the delivery period was pointed out to me. I accepted this and was given a reference number for my call. I also received an email notification of the purchase of the flowers from Greenbacks. The order number shown on the email is 1021773.
To date, (it is now the 28th June), the flowers have not been delivered and the person's birthday has long since past.
Are Greenbacks just a gimmick, designed to make you use your credit card? Judging by the number of complaints on Hellopeter it would appear that there are many unhappy Greenbacks customers. Not only that but these flowers were supposed to be a birthday gift for a special person, who now thinks they were forgotten on their birthday. Simply not good enough Nedbank!
