I am buying a new car for approximately R40 000 less than my current car's insured value but MiWay refuse to insure it for the purchase value and instead insist on insuring for full retail value which is R50 000 more than current. This increases my premiums by 34% but they are not willing to budge and will probably end up losing me as a client.
My risk profile has not changed and apart from a windscreen claim in the last three years, I have had no other claims. MiWay are very good to take your money every month but when you need some sort of decent service, they can't help.
