I was phoned by MiWay on 13 September 2013 asking to quote me. I am insured by Hollard at present. When they phoned me, I told them a long story (their calls are recorded) about how Hollard cancelled my insurance in July 2009, and now they are insuring me again.
When I phoned MiWay today to start the insurance policy I gave them the same long story. They have refused to insure me.
The long story: I was married previously. My wife was on my insurance. She had a car accident in my car in 2005 which cost R21, 000, and another car accident in the same car in 2007 which cost R23, 000. When I left her in 2009 she was kliving on her own in my house and she was robbed, all of my stuff was. The payout was R31000.
You can't refuse to insure me because of something that happened 4-7 years ago. The reports show that I was not the driver and I was not living at the house at the times of those claims. On top of that, Hollard are insuring me again.
I demand to be insured by Miway at the R1, 589.00 per month that I was quoted today, 18 October 2013.
