I had a personal load with ABSA, paid of with a full settlement payment beginning of March with the instruction to close the account. Apparently ABSA disregards instructions to close accounts, as given by the CLIENT. Money has been deducted EVERY month since March. After informing ABSA of this, an amount had to be paid back to me. An amount was paid back, but was less than the amount I was told was to be paid back. After receiving a letter dated 31/5/2013 informing me that the account was, indeed, now closed, on the 15th of June TWO more deductions was made from my account!!! ABSA is money from me, as I VERY CLEARLY gave the instruction that the account needed to be closed in MARCH!!! When trying to phone ABSA 10 minutes ago, I was (on MY cellphone account) transferred from this person to that person, ending with the phone being put down in my ear.
This is why I left ABSA - pathetic service, unethical conduct and!
