I logged a call with Dial direct last night (Monday, 24 June 2013) for Road Side assistance as I was having car trouble - My original call was made at about 18h05, where upon I was told that I would be called back in 5/10 minutes as a Tow truck need to be located in the area/near to where I was. During the time from my original call, up to an hour (or more) later, I had to phone them numerous times to follow up as to what was happening as no-one phoned back. Eventually after about an hour, I received a call back saying that assistance has been dispatched but I would need to pay in about R400... According to their Policy, you are allowed three Call Outs per annum with NO charge if the travelling distance from where you are, to where your car needs to be towed is less than 20km. - I was between 10 & 15km away from my home so I would like to know why they wanted to charge me the extra?? Needless to say; I cancelled the Call Out as did not have R400 to pay the towing company. I am disgusted @their service (or Lack there of in this case) as my time was completely wasted & they do Not seem to honour their policies so yes; what am I paying for if you can't even make use of the service?
