I had a consultant from Chartis call me a while back with the offer for life insurance, which I agreed to take out. Since then there have been debit orders running off my bank account for the said premiums. I have never received any documentation/policy from Chartis and therefor don't know what my policy number is. Then I have to find out by searching for Chartis online, that they are now AIG Life South Africa. I find this all very fishy and want to cancel my policy, that I don't have a policy number for. As well as reclaim all moneys paid to Chartis, seeing that if anything would have happened to me no one would have been able to claim, as there is no policy number for them to make use off. There for all payments already made would've been wasted, this is why I believe, Chartis/AIG to be responsible to repay the lump sum as a contract never existed on my side for anybody to claim if something happened to me and I hold them in breach!
