Long before I made an offer to purchase or even started looking for homes, I visited Standard bank Sunninghill to enquire if I qualify, what's the process, and how will STB be able to assist. The person that I had spoken to advised that it is better finding a home 1st and make an offer to purchase only then will my enquiry be taken seriously. Brushed of by the person I spoke to, I then found a suitable home and made an offer to purchase.
The Real-estate agent thats assisting me then sends my application to all service providers and after receiving letters of Acceptance from all other FSP except Standard Bank (My Bank) Their reason for declining is that they have too many houses in the same complex thats already financed through STB. As a consumer, that makes no sense as to how STB is at risk when I would have all the necessary and relevant Insurance to cover myself and the banks funds.
I am left in a situation with a few working days left to accept 1 of the other service providers offer and will move all my accounts should I change FSP's.
Only having dealt with STB throughout my working Career, im left dissapointed at the POOR SERVICE (complained on website but NO RESPONSE YET!!!
