I am highly disgusted with the Standard Bank that preaches high ethics on 1 hand & slaps you with Bull on the other. I made two offers to purchase a property on an insolvent estate and the second offer i was instructed by the real-estate agent to increase it as the Bank will definitely accept it, as they got no higher offer. So I DID. they come back to the trustees saying nonsense like "our other property's are selling at 750k to 900K so we want more than the offer. My offer was more than what the evaluation on the house was. Did you take into consideration that the other houses could be lived in immediately and this one is so badly vandalised that you have build and repair first before you can move in. The roof has a hole in it that gets worse every time it rains, the ceiling is falling down, NO electrical, or taps or pipes or geyser, or stove or cupboards, everything is wreaked to & you want more.the audacity, My offer was submitted on the 12th Feb. I want a decent explanation as i have your 10% deposit in cash. My offer still stands n the house has been onthe market for almost 2 years now. Thought you wanted to make money, go figure???
